Thanks for checking out our congregation as you search the web. We would like you to know that
you are always welcome at St Andrew’s. St. Andrew's is a Lutheran church, which makes us both
common and unique! We are people gathered together by the love of Jesus Christ, and we invite you
to gather with us in a life centered in Christ. In this way we are like so many other Christian
churches.
We also worship and teach in the Lutheran tradition. We deeply value the Biblical word, the freedom
of the Gospel, and priesthood of all believers. This last part means we believe that all who follow
Christ are called to a ministry making use of their talents and skills to serve God. We make use of
the power of music to inspire us and encourage us, as Luther did. We tend to be a mixture of people
from all walks of life and all parts of the world.
Our congregation belongs to the national church known as the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America
(ELCA) which inherits the mission and ministry of many different Lutheran groups down through the
years. The ELCA is the product of a merger in 1988 of the American Lutheran Church (ALC), the
Lutheran Church in America (LCA), and the Association of Evangelical Lutheran Churches (AELC). Our
predecessors gave the ELCA enormous gifts to carry on Christ's mission in the world.
We would like to invite you to visit and worship with us. If you would like to know more about
this church and our congregation, please come to check us out in person. Feel free to call us at
(920) 235-6616 if you have any questions. May God bless your searching with the best find of all:
Jesus Christ.
Yours in Christ,
Pastor Karen Jewell
